Keep in mind however because the monitor and resolution is so big, he'll need a good computer in order to continuing playing his games. But I would be very happy if my girlfriend got me a 25.5" monitor....
You're better off with a Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP. If you go any professional gaming convention you will see nothing but Dells monitors. The same is true in professional office environments. Samsung is a good choice, but the Dell offers a better quality product for slightly more than you're asking.
wow yes 25.5 inch! when we get our 22" i thought that was big but 25.5" damn he'll be real lucky if you buy him that!!!
