Panasonic VIERA X1 Series TC-L26X1 26-Inch 720p LCD HDTV...

The 26-inch Viera TC-L26X1 LCD 720p HDTV is ideal for lovers of music and videos. The iPod Entertainment Kit lets you control and play back your iPod (not included) music and videos. Also the Viera Image Viewer provides a better way to share your digital photos, just put your SD memory card into the memory card slot, and your digital photos are instantly displayed. With Viera Link, you can control your compatible Panasonic DVD recorder, Blu-ray Disc player, home theater sound system, and HD camcorder, all with a single remote and helpful on-screen menus.Very good 26" LCD television and is just the right size in our guest bedroom..... I believe that Panasonic beats them all hands down.... we replaced our very old CRT TV with this new light weight LCD and it does not take up as much space as the old unit did........ in my own opinion, this Panasonic LCD has the best picture and sound over the other brands, and I did a lot of comparing before buying ..... I really like the timer feature too...... the set-up menu and features are very user friendly. The remote is not lit... has no internal light... but I don't think any of them have an internal light..... not a complaint, but the remote has more stuff on it than I will ever use.... I have owned my 42" Plasma Panasonic for over 2 years now and I am very satisfied with it too.... The plasma has a little bit of a better picture, colors are more vivid, than a LCD has but a plasma also cost more money too.... and a plasma weighs more and uses more power than a LCD TV... This TV only comes in glossy black, the frame and base, which looks very nice but shows every speck of dust. I even called Panasonic and complained about that.....for not offering an alternate color like silver or gray.... I think that most all of the other brands, under 42", also come in only glossy black this year..... oh well.... my wife doesn't mind the glossy black..... Last month I purchased the TC-L32X1 for our bedroom and we liked it so well that we bought the TC-L26X1 LCD in the 26' size for the guest bedroom...... this TV also comes with a dock for plugging in your ipod but I'm not into any of that stuff so I can't say how well it works.... sorry... I have also posted a picture of our new TV here and that's my soda pop can next to the TV so you can get an idea of the size, etc.... and the President just happen to be on the news when I snapped the picture..... I recommend this Panasonic TC-L26X1 LCD TV...... they are very nice and well worth the little extra money over the other brands......

Panasonic VIERA C12 Series TC-L32C12 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV...

The Best Way to Watch Movies at Home. Ever. With superior video resolution as well as audio playback, Blu-ray Discs are six-times better than DVDs. Not sure which players are BD-Live enabled? Or of what BD-Live even is? Visit your newly redesigned High-Def Headquarters to find out more and get in the know. This TV was just recently released as of the time of this review, and it's one of the best TVs under $500 you can find on the market. I did a LOT of research looking for what I wanted in a TV. I've been wanting a nice flatscreen for a while now. I've been holding out as and quality has been improving while prices have been dropping. I finally settled on this Panasonic.

I wanted a TV for primarily movies (Hi Def and standard or upconverted Def) and video games (Hi Def and standard def). I do not have a cable subscription and am not curious in HD cable services. That being said, I wanted a TV that would double as a humongous PC monitor. I'm pleased to say this TV meets and exceeds my needs so far. It's a big upgrade from the 20 inch tube TV I was using before the VIERA.

The LCD TV is nice looking and has a variety of cable inputs. Both the remote and menu systems are top-notch and useful. This TV puts out true 720p resolution and has 4:3 ratio (standard, full-frame) and zoom scaling as well. For TVs 32 inches and under, 1080p (while nice) is not necessary, as you'd be hard pressed to notice a dramatic difference with your HDMI or component sources. The picture is super sharp, and the image control obtainable with this TV is pretty impressive. You can really play with the picture and color. I was laughing at the efficacy to essentially reproduce that 60's Technicolor supersaturation if you want. It really brings films to life. You can make up to 4 preset color choices, too- One for films, one for sports or live action TV, one for video games, one for kid's cartoons, etc, etc.

There is 1 stuck pixel on the TV. This is to be expected, and is not noticeable unless you're looking for stuck or dead pixels from about 18 inches away. I cannot look the pixel when watching, though, exclusively when I'm up close on the screen. This is not an issue at all. You cannot pick out 1 dead pixel on a TV of this resolution. 1 out of over 1 million pixels, the rest are flawless.

I've just gotten this, and haven't fully tested completely the bells and whistles, like the SD card port or the VIERA Link HDMI software (waiting for 1080p media player, coming in the mail). PC to TV was effortless and looked great. Even my old PS2 looked pretty good, albeit jaggy. I think that's more the game than the TV, though.

I almost went and got a $300 or $375 no-name tv at Walmart or Target, but I'm glad I paid a bit more for a higher-quality product. This Panasonic is really, really, well built, and is a near-perfect 32 inch TV. I'm more than happy with my purchase. As I test it out more, I plan to update this review, but so far, I'm loving it! This Panasonic is a great TV at an affordable price point, and 32 inches is complete for most small to medium sized rooms.

Also, if you have any certain questions, post 'em and I'll do my best to answer.

**UPDATE**

I've had the TV for a while now and still love it. I got an upconverting Sony DVD player (model DVPNS710HB ) that puts out 480p, 720p, and 1080i upconverts of standard DVDs. I bought a $3 HDMI cable from buy.com (skip the $100 monster cables, trust me) and the picture is fantastic. The trick is that since the TV displays 720p, by switching the DVD player to send the data in 720p, you get a native resolution that lets the image look its best on the TV. While the TV has a scaler built in, having the DVD player scan and scale and then transmit via HDMI produces a signifigantly clearer picture. Some of the DVDs I have that were shot on digital video look very, very close to HD programming. My digitally remastered James Bond DVDs look signifigantly better than through a component DVD player. I was impressed.

As for the other features- the SD card reader is slow for my tastes. It takes a couple of seconds to load each picture. Of course, I have a VGA connector hooked up, so its much more convenient to load the pictures to my PC and view them thru windows. HQ images look AMAZING on this TV, though. I had always shot digital pictures at high resolutions, but couldn't really see them as they were meant to be seen, only having a 15 inch LCD. With the early TV as my monitor, my pictures now look 100 times better.

Another cool feature- through Viera Link, the HDMI Sony DVD player works with the Panasonic remote- no programing needed. I simply went into the Viera Link menu and selected the HDMI DVD player, now my DVD player will initiate and interrupt when I power on the TV and I can control it all from my TV remote. Very cool.

I'll post some more updates if I have anything else to say or if anyone has any questions.

LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV, Gloss Black...

Think there's no such thing as an affordable 1080p TV with great features as well as technology? You'll think again when you take a look at the LH30. It delivers a stunning picture in Full HD 1080p and LG's innovative Core Technologies deliver an enhanced audio and video experience. With the LH30, affordability does not mean compromise. It means getting a great HDTV---period. See for yourself. The LG 32LH30 32-Inch 1080p replaced a 720p 32 inch Samsung which I returned because of erratic sound quality. The LG provides a clear picture for upscaled DVD movies and over the air digital signals. The speakers provide excellent sound for a small living room although the addition of a house theater system would substantially increase movie enjoyment. Standard definition signals reproduce a stable clear picture. Colors are very great and the set provides sufficient tools to tweak the picture for personal preference. I have not used it for bluray as yet but HD from satellite is very good. The features of this unit described on the Amazon specifications list accurately describe its features and can be relied upon. I am not a hard core cinema/video buff but I cannot imagine that this unit'll not satisfy most viewers who want a well priced midsized flat screen high definition TV. My five stars are based upon what I expect in similarly designed and priced units for a

Samsung LN40B630 40-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color

With the Samsung 40-inch LN40B630 HDTV, you're investing in a high-quality LCD TV that offers top-of-the-line picture quality with 1080p high definition resolution. Enjoy the sharpest details and vivid color with an 80,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio for more realistic images and Samsung's Wide Color Enhancer 3 technology for a more natural rendering of colors. It also incorporates some innovative features to reduce the motion blur and image judder, which traditionally plague LCD HDTVs when displaying fast movement. This B630 series HDTV combines an ultra-fast 4ms (millisecond) response time with Samsung's Auto Motion Plus frame interpolation technology, which utilizes a 120Hz refresh rate helps assure crisp, easy viewing of sports, video games and movies.
Being the first to review the 2009 Samsung LN40B630 on Amazon was purely an accident in that I actually bought the new Sony KDL-40V5100 on April 2nd. At that time, the Samsung B650 had just come out, but its high gloss panel would not have performed well in my brightly lit room. My high definition projection TV had kicked the bucket after 8-years, but I rarely enjoyed watching HD because the daylight glare would wash out the picture. The Sony's non-glare screen performed well except when the picture would black out during dark movie scenes. I discovered that many of the V5100 series have had this glitch and Sony had no fix for it at that time. To Best Buy's credit, they cheerfully exchanged the Sony under their 30-day return policy and delivered the Samsung B630 model which has a non-glare screen and is similar to the fashionable B650.

My expectations of the new Samsung were that it would perform much like the Sony. I could not have been more wrong. The B630 was like viewing another huge leap in a television experience, while the Sony seemed to be of past technology. The depth and breadth of Samsung's visual color tones are astounding and mesmerizing. A perfect example of that came from viewing scenes of the Caribbean Sea. The Sony could not match the Samsung's Wide Color Enhancer 3 processor with its three dimensional qualities and vibrant tones of turquoise, sea green, cobalt blue, coral pink and white sand clearly seen under the sea. It literally was like being there.

The Samsung's dynamic contrast of 80,000-1 was visibly superior to the Sony's 50,000-1 and convinced me that Samsung's contrast rating was more than a marketing numbers game. The viewing angle of the Sony was horrific when moving away from center by seeing flesh tones morph into green. Samsung's viewing angle was far better by maintaining the proper color tones, but it did lose contrast and brightness. Of course, a slight turn of its swivel base helped to alleviate Samsung's viewing angle issue.

The downside to Samsung's advanced technology was that every movie appeared as video and lost its magical cinema quality. Sony was superior in dealing with this issue. To address that problem, the backlight and contrast settings have to be toned down to soften the picture and to preserve a film's attributes. Most importantly, an adjustment to the 120 Hz Motion Plus feature must be done in order to keep movies from appearing surreal. While many recommend turning the 120 Hz off, I found video blurring far annoying and placed the Auto Motion Plus to a custom setting of 6 for blur and judder reduction. That seemed like a good compromise without losing much of the film's realistic movement. Experiment with every adjustment to find your best settings and calibration instructions are easily found on [...]. It all came together beautifully for me and hopefully this information could be helpful to you.

One bad design feature was the power and channel functions on the TV itself. You cannot look where they are unless you have light shining directly on them. As long as you use only the remote control, it might be a non-issue. By-the-way, in case you were wondering how effective the non-glare screen was on the Samsung B630; it was perfect. I experienced crystal clear high definition TV -- Day or Night.

Sony BRAVIA XBR Series KDL-52XBR9 52-Inch 1080p 240 Hz LCD HDTV, Black...

Experience powerful effectiveness and superior design with the Sony BRAVIA XBR9 HDTV, featuring Motionflow 240Hz technology for maximum motion detail and clarity, plus broadband internet connectivity with built-in BRAVIA Internet Video1 capabilities that let you view select on-demand movies, TV shows, music and more, and even lets you personalize your entertainment experience by selecting and positioning widgets containing the latest news, weather, sports and more directly on your TV screen. This is my first ever review and my first leap into the hdtv arena. I've been waiting for quite many time to buy an "almost perfect" tv at a great price. Had my eye on the 55xbr8 which probably has a superior picture caused by its LED backlighting. Also in the running was the super slim Samsung B8000. I ruled out the Samsung because of its limited connectivity and a review written by the owner of one which stated that the edge backlighting caused a halo effect around the tv in a darkened room. I decided to go with the 52xbr9 because of its moderate depth, hidden speakers, built-in internet video and widgets, and much more resonable price than the 55xbr8.

I've had this baby for 3 weeks and I'm still in the process of learning about how to get the best out of it. Out of the box, I was blown away by how great the picture looks. HD channels really come alive. SD channels are just ok. DVD's look great, with a little added support from my Oppo dvd player. Haven't purchased a blu-ray player yet. Built-in internet video quality ranges anywhere from outstanding to extremely poor. That completely depends on the source content and your connection speed. Because of its florescent backlighting, this tv generates a lot of heat. The longer it's on, the warmer the room feels. The owners manual warns against enclosed installations and advises a free air space of 4 inches on boths sides and bottom and 11 7/8 at the top to preclude heat harm or possible fire. If you've been thinking about putting this tv in a tight spot, please don't.

I wall-mounted this tv in my bedroom above the dresser in place of the mirror. My bedroom is 12x12 and no, this tv is not too big. Keep in mind that probably half of all viewing on a widescreen tv will not fill the entire screen without distorting the picture, so the bigger the tv, the happier you'll be. My favorite thing of all is the pc input. I have it connected to a pc in the next room which has dual monitor display capabilities. The pc display quality is outstandingly sharp. I'm now able to lounge in bed and surf the net on the big screen using my Gyration wireless compact keyboard and air mouse ( all purchased from Amazon at a great price btw). I'm also able to stream all the Netflix movies I want via pc at no additional cost than my $8.99 monthly membership. Surprisingly, Netflix streaming video quality is usually good.

The bottom line....This is a fantastic tv. Sound quality is very good for a flat panel, especially in surround mode. Speakers are on the bottom of tv (not the back) and are of decent size. Amazon had the best price and more importantly, they can be trusted. Black levels aren't quite as dark as with tvs with LED backlighting but the picture is still quite good. Shipping was fast. Amazon's customer service kept me well informed with the status of my shipment and Pilot delivery service was very well-to-do to work with. If you've been playing the waiting game to purchase a great HD television as I have...you need not wait any longer.

UPDATE...August 1, 2009...Netflix will be coming this fall to Sony Bravia. They've already added the Netflix icon on the internet video menu of my tv. That's one more reason to buy this remarkable television.

Plasma lcd tvs...Emperors New Clothes trick?

Is the update an improvement?

I went looking at new TVs yesterday and noticed that the pictures on screen look pixelated and fuzzy on even the highest quality (and price) TVs .
Am I seeing something nobody else is? My 8 yo TV has a clearer view and no 'fuzzies' .
HDTVs are definitely higher resolution than older standard definition sets. But there are a couple of caveats.

Some stores do not provide a high quality signal to their TVs. They hook up too many TVs to the same document and end up with a degraded signal. Some even have the TVs tuned to non-SD channels (really, I've seen this!). Stores that cognize what they're doing will often have the TVs hooked up to a BluRay player, which's currently the highest quality input.

BTW, RC Willey seems to know what they are doing with HDTVs. The TVs in their showrooms are well set up and their sales staff is *very* knowledgeable, unlike some other major retailers I know. If they are in your area, check them out.

Also, if you're looking at a 55 inch TV, don't stand 4 feet in front of it. It's bound to look fuzzy. They should be viewed from a distance that is 2 to 3 times the screen diagonal.

Yes, the update really is an improvement and what you probably experienced is one of the things that high-definition TVs can do: bring out and essentially the worst in already outdated content.

For example, if you watch an already grainy, old camcorder-recorded 480i signal on a 1080p set, it will just magnify what is already poor content.

To see the best of what a plasma/lcd can do, it needs to be fed high-def signals like 1080i or 1080p.

Another thing to remember is that a TV- may it be plasma, lcd, crt, projection- is always set-up poorly on the showroom floor (e.g., brightness is blooming, auto resolution adjustments mode may be turned off, etc.). Also when you're at a store and completely the TVs are set-up to show the same content, sometimes they are daisy-chained together via a weak cable like RCA then the signal is distributed by an old receiver that does not do the content justice either.

Best thing to do is ask them to pop in a dvd or blu-ray directly to the set you're looking into and adjust the settings yourself.

If the material they are showing is old and bad quality the new tv will brigh out the worst picture. Unless you had watched an LCD with fast moving item which can make it blurry, the LCD tv have motion blurness while the Plasma tv does not. To reduce the blurness you'll must get the 120HZ or 240HZ refresh rate but comes at a higher price. I would put my money on a Plasma instead of an LCD or LED tvs. From all questions in yahoo more problems with LCD than Plasma.

If the HDTVs are fed SD images then this could well happen. SD images are 4:3 in aspect ratio and 720x486 in resolution. But your HDTV is going to be 16:9 in aspect ration and 1280x720 (or something close to that) or 1920x1080 in resolution. So you have a discrepency between the two. As a happen some form of up-scaling and/or distortion will occur. This will in turn cause a big of softening of the image. Its different in each case and the severity of image degrade will vary.

But an old CRT (tube) set is a SD aspect ration and resolution. So it will playback SD content vastly better. The HDTVs can not match the CRT in SD playback.

But HD vs SD, HD is way sharper and better looking. Watch a new visual effects heavy movie in BluRay and on a standard DVD. The BluRay is clearly a step above. But as we transition things from SD to HD, there's going to be still SD stuff around or stuff that is exclusively so-so processed for HD which just won't look that great. Its just part of the landscape we have to deal with.

lcd plasma television: Choice of the New Generation...

Getting better value from your early TV is probably one of your big concerns. With cable as well as satellite companies offering high-definition content to their subscribers, many people are deciding that this is a good time to think about replacing their old picture-tube televisions with a new flat-panel LCD Plasma television set. When viewing plasma TV, the first thing you will notice is the incredible high-resolution clarity of the picture. Early LCD TVs were designed in a small screen format but now they are obtainable in screens as wide as 52 inches or even more. However, smaller screens could give better picture clarity than wide screens.

The basic advantage of LCD Plasma televisions is their flatness. Plasma TVs are much lighter and thinner than traditional TVs. Even a widescreen LCD TV is no more than a couple of inches thick. Because only a couple of inches thick and less than half the weight of a similarly-sized analog television, a plasma television can free-up valuable floor-space and be mounted on a wall since they lack the traditional, bulky picture-tube.

If there are a large number of television viewers in your house, plasma TV is the right option for you. With larger screen sizes available, you can easily watch TV from far away places. Flat-screen plasma TVs have a wider viewing angle with no degradation in color and image clarity, making plasma TVs ideal for multiple viewers.

LCD Plasma TVs can also be used as computer monitors. In fact, the technology was originally designed to manufacture laptop monitors. High definition LCD televisions are SVGA adaptable and they can be used to enjoy extreme graphic games on monitors.

Imagine surfing the net, doing computer work or even playing games on your television from the aid of your sofa. Internet connectivity is a feature supported by plasma television technology, and several newer models are even net ready, allowing you to connect your plasma TV to your computer and use that enormous, crystal-clear screen as a monitor.

Flat screen tvs review:Three Flat Screen Tv's to Avoid if at All Possible

Right, you have raided the piggy bank and found out how much you don?t have but you are still hell bent on getting that brand new Flat Screen TV you?ve almost always wanted, so what?s next?

Unlike different guides here we believe in giving great old plain common sense and want you to think about the money aspect first.

Now this may sound daft and as if we are trying to talk you out of spending your hard earned (or ?ill gotten? just delete or insert where applicable) cash when you should be basking in thoughts of Plasma or LCD, Aspect Ratios, Screen sizes etc but this completely matters not one jot if you get your budgeting wrong.Think about one small essential fact.

The financial expenditure that you are about to embark upon is probably going to be one of the major items of expense that you are probably to encounter (after the House/Flat and Car etc) so it is important to get it right.

Plan well in advance how much you have got to spend and how much of a leeway / margin of error you could play with.

As they say make the wrong decision too soon and it could be along time for you to correct your mistakes.

The thing is that without proper planning you could be left regretting the fact that you could have scored big-time with a ?sales bargain? for just a couple of hundred more at this stage in the proceedings or you allowed yourself into being talked into spending way more that you had budgeted for and now you can?t afford the electricity bills to power it!

The moral of the story is ?Fail to Prepare or Prepare to Fail? as they say in all good marketing handbooks but in this case it is certainly true.

So let?s get started with looking around at what is on offer at the moment and continuing the trend of giving you independent advice (not always what you want to hear but never mind) in this article we are going to take a look at what you should NOT spend your money on despite the best intentions of the sales guys!

We?ve highlighted three particular Flat Screen TV?s that you should steer clear of if you are looking for a decent TV and they are as follows.

The first one we recommend you steer clear of is the Evesham V32EMRO.

The V32EMRO is a 32in LCD TV and currently these TV's can be found for 600 pounds sterling or 1200 US dollars. The resolution of the screen is 1366 X 768 and with regards to being HD Ready the answer is yes. The Evesham has 2 (no RGB) scarts and the type and number of Multimedia interfaces the V32EMRO uses is HDMI and 1. The type of Tuner for this TV is Analogue and the Evesham is available from limited outlets only.

All these points being taken into consideration, how would we view the Evesham V32EMRO?

First up, we would look at the picture quality and our score here would be 4, and for the sound quality we would rate it at 4. Another useful aspect to review is the availability and number of relevant connections and our score here would be 4. As far as general features are concerned we would give it 4 and the final individual verdicts would relate to the ease of use and overall value for money and our scores here would be, 8 and 4 respectively.

Finally our overall opinion would be to be honest there is not a lot to be positive and enthusing about this TV even allowing for the fact that it is relatively cheap. That factor allowing, it still doesn't represent good value for money (in our opinion) so thumbs down I?m afraid. The real fact is that Evesham actually have other sets that are infinitely superior to this one and this does let the side down I?m afraid.

Next up we think that you should avoid the Funai T27004.

The T27004 is a 27in LCD TV and the prices for these are around 700 pounds sterling or 1400 US dollars. The resolution of the screen is 1280 X 720 and with regards to being HD Ready the answer is yes. The Funai has 2 (2 RGB) scarts and the type and number of Multimedia interfaces the T27004 uses is DVI and 1. The type of Tuner for this TV is Analogue and the Funai is available from limited outlets only.

All these points being taken into consideration, how would we view the Funai T27004?

First up, we would look at the picture quality and our score here would be 4, and for the sound quality we would rate it at 4. Another useful aspect to review is the availability and number of relevant connections and our score here would be 6. With regards to the overall level of features, our view would be 4 and for ease of use and overall value for money we would give it, 8 and 4 respectively.

Taking everything into consideration our overall view of the package would be for the asking price of this TV, the picture quality is very poor and therefore our verdict has got to be thumbs down for this offering so go and part with your hard earned cash elsewhere!

Lastly we think that you should give a miss to the Sanyo CE-32LD6.

The CE-32LD6 is a 32in LCD TV and these TV's at present can be found in the region of 790 pounds sterling or 1580 US dollars. The screen resolution is 1366 X 768 and with regards to being HD Ready the answer is yes. The Sanyo has 3 (2 RGB) scarts and the type and number of Multimedia interfaces the CE-32LD6 uses are HDMI and 1. The type of Tuner for this TV is Analogue and the Sanyo is available from limited outlets only.

So how would we rate the Sanyo CE-32LD6?

Well to takeoff with our score for the picture quality is 6, and closely tied in to the picture quality is the sound quality and our score for this would be 4. Taking a look at the number of relevant connections and their availability, our score would be 8. If we take a look at the overall "featureability" our score would be 6 if we then take a look at the ease of use and overall value for money then our scores would be, 8 and 4 respectively.

Taking everything into consideration our overall view of the package would be there is not much to recommend this I'm afraid despite however hard we tried. To be honest this TV gives the impression that all Sanyo were really trying to do was find many use for excess spare parts. Very much a case of "what do we do with these electronic bits - Oh I cognize lets build a TV and see how much we can offload."

Remember that all the prices we use in these reviews are very much designed for illustration purposes exclusively and in some cases you might well find the actual price cheaper but in some cases, more expensive.

Best lcd monitor review : The Best LCD Monitors

Best lcd monitor review
An LCD (liquid crystal display) monitor is a flat, thin panel in an electronic device comprised of layers of pixels made of liquid crystals in front of a panel of light or reflection. LCD monitors use little electricity compared to glossy screens, CRT monitors, and touchscreen monitors. Even novice computer users can tell the difference between the types of monitors and their quality, just by the graphics and color accuracy. Having accurate colors is imperative for numerous computer users, especially users like graphic artists and photographers or office professionals who need a clear, crisp PowerPoint presentation, for example. There are many LCD monitors on the market today. With price ranges from a mere hundred dollars to into the thousands, it's often difficult to find the best monitor at a reasonable price without compensating the quality. Here is a record of the top three affordable, high quality LCD monitors currently on the market:

1. Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP

Pros: Text display, adjustability, photo/video quality, and connectivity.
Cons: Slight blur on videos and not as sharp as not cheap counterparts.

Although there is many blurring during videos, the colors on this monitor are high quality and there is an abundance of connectivity choices. Despite not having an HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) port, users can just use adapters. The only complaint most users have is with the stand and the occasional bad angles. The
Samsung SyncMaster 2443BWX LCD monitor is definitely one of the better LCD monitors on the market.

3. Samsung SyncMaster 2053BW

Pros: Great value for quality and display.
Cons: Maladroit controls.

The Samsung SyncMaster 2053BW is a highly praised LCD monitor with great user reviews. For a 20" screen, the Samsung SyncMaster 2053BW is a great value if you're just looking for a satisfying professional monitor. Even small fonts, as low as 6 points, are well-to-do to read on the Samsung SyncMaster 2053BW. Along with great colors and graphics, this LCD monitor is perfect for gaming and watching videos. The only complaints users have are the stand that cannot be adjusted in height, only tilted backward, and the controls, which are a bit awkward and hard to get used to.

lcd screen review : Can LCD TV Reviews Give You The Lowdown On The Market Trends?...

In spite of the ugly face of recession showing up in the world market, it has not been able to dampen the sales of LCD TVs. Studies show an general rise in sales over the current year. LCD TV reviews are an eye-opener in this direction. User reviews could give first-hand information about the current trends and the pros and cons of a particular product. If you are curious to find out everything about a TV before you buy one, make sure that you read LCD HDTV reviews available on the internet. The ongoing war of LCD TV against Plasma TV seems to be gaining momentum with every LCD HDTV company vying to put their best foot forward. The odds seems to be shifting in favor of the LCD TVs. But what are the features you should notice in LCD reviews before making a decision to buy an LCD HDTV?

Features to bargain for

. Resolution -- Nowadays, it is difficult to find an HDTV which does not have 1080p resolution. Although the pricing of 1080p HDTVs is a lot more than those having 720p, you'll get a better picture quality in lieu of the extra money. LCD TV reviews mention the resolution and will give a hint about the effectiveness of it.

. Engine -- The LCD HDTV manufacturers advertise their engines with great fanfare. You need to read the LCD HDTV reviews to cognize which one is better. The Sony Bravia engine is a hit with almost everyone. And Toshiba is coming up with Pixel Pure to answer the competition.

. Refresh rate -- Most of the LCD reviews compare the refresh rate of the HDTVs. The higher the refresh rate, the better are the images. The pixels are able to refresh faster resulting in a natural flow of images. The action sequences become enjoyable with less judder.

. Screen size -- This is may be the first feature which draws your attention. You tend to be overawed by the large screen sizes. But reading LCD TV reviews will make you wiser about the difficulties of watching on a large screen. The clarity and picture quality should not be compromised with. Making a judgment about the appropriate screen size can be done on the basis of the LCD HDTV reviews.

. Connectivity -- This is an important aspect of every LCD TV. The more number of HDMI inputs and the presence of USB port and SD card slot will give a slight upper hand to an HDTV. These inputs will allow you to get connected to a number of compatible HD-ready devices. You can also view photos and play your camcorder on the HDTV.

. Warranty -- Never forget to find out about the warranty conditions from LCD TV reviews. Most of the companies advertise about 1 year warranty on parts and labor. But few are particular about the after-sales service. It is wise to find out about fully professional companies who care about their customers before investing your money on a pricey HDTV.

It is difficult to reach the complete decision. Sometimes we are taken up by the marketing ploys of big companies and make rash decisions. But LCD TV reviews will almost always put you on the right track.

With the well-to-do to afford Internet prices these days, almost everyone has access. With more people making it online every day, there are literally millions of opinions as well as reviews that are available to anybody who wants to read them. I was researching the market to purchase a early television and wanted to read Vizio TV reviews. On my new television purchase, I wanted to make an informed decision. Using my favorite search engine, I located a website with over 100,000 active members who have reviewed over 500,000 of today's products. Because I was looking to purchase a new high definition television, I used this site to read reviews.A size of people's homes varies, so you should almost always for research to find out what size is going to work best in your living situation. Almost any manufacturer or local store could assist you in finding the screen size that is going to work best in whatever room you want the television in. Something else that is important is the amount of input and output jacks that are on the back of the television. This is crucial if you want to run different devices through the TV like a DVD player, a house theater system, or a gaming console. These were all things that were important to me as I read through the Vizio TV reviews.

Many of the newer flat-panel televisions could be placed on top of a special entertainment system or mounted directly on the wall like a picture. When looking through the Vizio TV reviews I was able to find out which models could be mounted on the wall and which ones could not. It was caused by the information I found out in the reviews that I was able to make a decision and purchase a new television that had many features and I was able to hook it up easily with my home theatre surround sound system. Before purchasing a new television, you should definitely do the research to find out what is going to work best for you.

Plans For Building a Homemade Deer Feeder...

Feeding wild deer has become a very favorite hobby as well as over the years my company has literally provided tens of thousands of these feeders. It is not uncommon for us to receive requests from woodworkers and others who wish to build their own feeders. Unlike most companies, we are glad to help anyone wishing to make their own homemade feeder since often times we receive replies from these same individuals with ideas for improvements, or more than likely early product ideas.
To build your own 36" trough style deer feeder in the Hurley-Byrd fashion you first need to gather some materials. You will need lumber of course and all Hurley-Byrd Deer Feeders are crafted from western red cedar. You are welcome to use pine but only expect it to last a couple of years. Purchase one 1x8 piece of lumber that is eight feet long and a 2x4 with a minimum length of three feet. Keep in mind each piece of lumber will need to be ripped to narrow widths. Some lumber yards will be glad to assist if you do not have the tools capable of performing this task. While at the lumber store, purchase 14-#8x1 1/2" wood screws. We use brass screws in your feeders but any good wood screw will be fine for a short term feeder. Also purchase four 1/4" x 20 x 3" carriage bolts, matching wing nuts and washers. These are used to attach the legs to the trough.

Once the lumber is home, it's time to build the vee shaped trough. Cut your 1x8 into 2-36" lengths. Leave one piece its full 71/4" width and rip the other to 6 1/2". Take the remaining two feet of the 1x8 and rip it to 3 3/4" in width. This piece of lumber must be cut into two triangles with a miter saw. Since these four pieces of lumber get attached to one another at their edges, screw holes must be drilled first or the lumber will soon split. On the 1x7 1/4"x 36, drill two holes at each end 3/8" from the end and 1 1/2" from the sides. Along one long edge, drill six equally spaced holes 3/8" from the edge. On the 1x6 1/2"x 36, drill two holes in each end 3/8" from the end and 1 1/2" from the sides. Take the two triangles and drill two 5/8" diameter holes perpendicular to the short point that are located 1" and 2 1/4" from the long flat edge.

Now that the lumber has its screw holes in place, it is time for assembly. Lay the 1x6 1/2" board on a flat work bench so that one edge is close to the bench's end. Stand the 1 x 7 1/4" on its edge next to the 1x6 1/4 so the screw holes are closest to the bench and aligned with the 1x6 1/4. Secure the bigger piece of lumber to the smaller one using the wood screws producing sure the ends of each board align with one another. Once all the screws are in place, turn the trough over and set it on one the triangles so that the triangle sets flush with the trough's end. It's a good practice to predrill the screw holes for the triangle using the holes you antecedently drilled in the long length lumber. This will keep your triangles from splitting or breaking prematurely. Attach each triangle to the trough. Drill out four 5/8" drain holes in the trough's vee bottom. Your trough is now complete and able to be sanded if desired or left rough but we suggest a little sanding to remove any sharp edges.

Now it's time for the legs. Gather up your 2x4 and cut it to 36" in length and rip it into two equal halves. Using the triangles as your guide, drill two 5/8" holes in one end of the leg on its center line. Each hole will be 1" and 2 1/4" from the top of the leg respectively. Once you have done this, you could apply an exterior grade finish to the whole feeder or leave the lumber raw. We use a high grade penetrating oil finish to enhance the feeder's beauty and add longevity to the feeder. If you apply a finish, allow it to dry appropriately and you are now ready to set out the new feeder.

To set the feeder outside, you will need to attach the legs to the trough using the carriage bolts, washers and wing nuts. Once it is assembled, it is time to set it up. Find the location you desire for the feeder. See my eZineArticle "Deer Feeders and Feeding Tips - A Guide to a Safe and Enjoyable Home Hobby" for setting the feeder in a safe and proper location. For this type of feeder, you will need to dig two holes 12" deep and 36" apart. Once complete, stand the feeder in the holes and backfill the holes enough to hold the feeder. Stand back, look at the feeder and level it in all directions. Once level, completely backfill the holes and tamp down the fresh dirt. Fill your feeder and within a few days you will start enjoying the deer on a regular basis. Read my previously mentioned article regarding safe feeding locations and proper feeds for your deer. Enjoy and contact us with your success stories.

LCD TV Problems - How You Can Fix Them Fast...

There are many reasons you could be having problems with your LCD TV. The thing to remember is that these things are microprocessor based, just like your computer. That means that at the first sign of trouble you should do the same thing you do with your computer; reboot it! That's right, if your LCD TV is dead ir unresponsive, turn it off with the remote or power button, delay about 10 seconds, then unplug it from the wall. After about 1 minute, plug the power back in as well as turn the TV on again. With any luck, your TV is now fixed. The next thing that causes problems with completely new TVs, not just LCDs is the HDMI connection.
You see, HDMI is a fantastic way to get high definition video, but it's so good that the content providers were worried their stuff would end up out on the Internet in pure form, well-to-do to copy and distribute. To preclude such an occurrence, a copy protection scheme called High Density Copy Protection (HDCP) was developed. This is an electronic data handshake system where the document and display devices have to recognize every different and agree that it's okay to send video. If there is no handshake, or the process gets corrupted in several way, poof, no more video. This problem was extremely prevalent in the early days of HDMI, but has been steadily improving since about the end of 2007 or early 2008.

If you are having problems with your TV, it may actually be an HDMI related issue. Here are many of the problems you may encounter.

Problem 1: No Picture
If you see, or rather don't see this, then shut everything down and then restart the system. Make sure all the connections are in place first. Look at the screen. If you see a resolution notice chances are the DDC line has communicated between source and sink. Good news for you! The problem is probably video related.

Problem 2: Flashes, No Audio, Pink Screen
No audio accompanied by a pink screen is usually indicative of a DDC communication problem. What's that mean for you? To check this, power up the system while all the HDMI cables are connected. If possible, try using shorter cables. Here you need to see if the system works at all. If for some think the system still fails to come on, try using different inputs. You may find that your cable box will work and your DVD may not or vice versa. This able to happen caused by stray capacitance on the DDC line inside the HDMI cable. This may actually be caused by the hardware itself. If you think it may be, try getting a DDC line conditioner. Normally, these types of problems completely go away when conditioning is introduced.

Problem 3: Sparkles in the Picture
This is normally a video data transmission problem. Typically data transmission problems with HDMI are cable related. It could be that the cable is underperforming due to its length. This is especially frequent with cheap cables. Remember the HDMI spec says cable length should not exceed 10 meters. Shortening the cable should improve the signal integrity. Another possibility in this situation is a bad connector. HDMI connectors are notoriously fickle anyway.Try a new cable at each position along the signal path.

Symptom 4: Picture Comes On, Then Goes Off
Typically, this is caused by one of two things. The first is when one or more of the video TMDS channels has a high bit error rate or is not working at all. Next is when the DDC line does not quite make it. In that case, the HDCP is not getting a new refresh key. Buy a in a better quality cable with larger wire. When it comes to wire gauge, smaller gauge equals larger wire diameter. Hence 20 gauge is larger diameter than 24 gauge.

If you're having LCD TV problems, check these things before you call a TV repair company. In many cases you can easily fix the problem yourself without spending a fortune.

How to Guide - Connecting Your Laptop to HDTV Or TV...

I'm writing this guide after being asked a couple of times on ways to connect a laptop to a TV. People want to achieve this for many reasons. First, it's great for presentations at work, school, or home. It's convenient for viewing pictures and videos to friends, watching DVDs, and it's now even being used for viewing Blu-ray and different high definition content on the HDTV.

First, we want to make sure you're getting the most out of your laptop when it comes to displaying it on the TV.

* If you have an HDTV with HDMI inputs, check if your laptop has an HDMI output. If it does, you're in luck! Your HDTV able to show from your laptop in HD resolutions. All you need is an HDMI cable to connect them. If your HDTVs HDMI inputs are used up already. An HDMI switch would be the best solution for you. We supply switches that could connect up to 5 different HDMI sources to 1 HDMI input.
* If you do not have an HDMI output on the laptop, check if it has a DVI output. Some ASUS, and Dell laptops have them. If you do, you could connect your laptop to an HDTV with an HDMI to DVI cable. They are both digital cables so this'll produce the same HD resolutions as a standard HDMI cable.
* If your laptop does not have HDMI or DVI out, it should have a VGA output. Connecting with VGA is capable of high resolutions. However, different TVs support different resolutions with VGA. You must check the maximum resolution your TV model supports with VGA.
* Pretty much completely laptops come with an S-Video output. It's not going to be as great of a picture, but it will certainly do the job with an S-Video cable.

After you have connected your chosen cable, boot up your laptop and see if it has detected your TV. If not, you must go into your display properties and look for the settings that will enable your TV to display from your laptop. Where to find the setting will vary depending on your graphics card (just look around). If you are having hurt getting your TV to show a picture, make sure you have updated the display drivers on your laptop. Now you're probably going to want sound from something other than your laptop speakers. So you can choose to output it to your TV, or blast it from your house theater audio receiver.

* The best way to connect audio to your TV or receiver is through a digital audio cable. Both a digital coaxial cable or Toslink optical audio cable will work great for crisp high quality audio. Just make sure your laptop has either a digital coaxial or an optical audio output. Some laptops use the headphone jack to double as a digital coaxial (S/PDIF) output. If you use this method, your going to need a 3.5mm to RCA adapter with a digital coaxial cable. If your laptop has none of these outputs and you still want that high quality sound. Don't worry! You can still get an external (USB) sound card that has digital coaxial out or optical out. I recommend the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 SB1090 with Toslink Optical audio out.
* Another way, which won't require any add-ons, is to use the headphone (3.5mm) jack on your laptop to the RCA (red and white) inputs on your TV or receiver. To do this, all you need is a 3.5mm to 2 RCA adapter with a 2 RCA audio cable.

I cognize all of these cables can seem confusing to you. If you're having trouble finding out what every cable looks like or find out more about a cable, check out the Cable Guide at CableTrain.com. All of these cables are obtainable for you on our website as well. I hope you can now successfully connect your laptop to the TV in the best way possible!

If you need to streamline your HD components further, the Bravia L-Series HDTVs feature Bravia Sync technology and are compatible with optional Bravia Link Modules such as the Bravia Wireless Link, which wirelessly streams HD video and audio from your A/V equipment to your HDTV from up to 65 feet away. You might expect that more features mean more power consumption, but Bravia L-Series HDTVs include a Dynamic Backlight Control which automatically controls general image brightness to help the TV exceed ENERGY STAR 3.0 standards.

Bought to substitute a smaller-screen TV in your bedroom. The larger size is much appreciated, but the quality of the picture is beyond any I've seen. We have had other LCD HDTV sets, but this one far exceeds the picture quality of our other sets. Easy to set up. I got a wall mount for this size set and the entire installation took just a couple of minutes. Highly recommended and worth the extra money.

At the price you might not at first think of this little SONY as a bargain, but wait until you've owned if for a month or so. If you have wasted time trying other, less expensive sets, as many of us have, then you will cognize what I mean by bargain!
Marvelous picture. Easy to set up and program.Easily moved around. I don't understand the negative comments about sound. What do you want?....a stereo system or a television set??!
This is a GREAT little television.

My first review of the TV was negative due to a problem of dimming during dark scenes. But few days ago Sony released a software patch to correct the problem and it worked for me. Now, the auto dimming can be turned off by setting the "Adv. Contrast Enhancer" to Off. Also, even when it's turned On, it doesn't behave like it did pre- patch, it now dims gradually rather than abruptly and it doesn't dim as much as it did before. Thank you very much Sony, I'm updating my rating to 5-star.

I'm very happy with the TV now that the auto dim is fixed. If you own the TV and having problems with the dimming, go to the help section of Sony's site to download the patch and the instructions on how to apply it. You will need a USB thumb drive formatted in FAT32, but if you don't have it, Sony will mail you one if you call their customer support.
